      Weiss Medical opened in 2004, with excellent patient care and hard work at the core of our operations. Our team is focused on ensuring all patients are treated with respect while receiving top quality care. Since our founding, the practice has grown to treat over 50,000 patients annually in our five office locations located in New Jersey and New York.

      Our growth has been powered by our core focuses – excellent patient care and hard work – and we remain diligent in those values every day and with every decision. We practice evidence-based medicine and utilize the most up-to-date diagnostic and treatment modalities.       Our Team


      Jeffrey Weiss, M.D.


      Dr. Jeffrey Weiss earned a Bachelor of Science at Cornell University in 1993. He graduated with Distinction. He then went on to medical school and earned his MD at Hahnemann University School of Medicine (which is now Drexel University College of Medicine) in 1997. He graduated AOA, which is the medical school honor society.

      He then went on to perform a pediatric residency (1997 - 2000) at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City, in which he won numerous teaching awards and was honored as the "Most Compassionate Doctor." His training continued at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, in which he completed a fellowship in adult and pediatric Allergy, Asthma and Immunology in 2002. During fellowship, he was awarded "Best Teaching Fellow of the Year" in 2001.

      Dr. Weiss is board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI) and has been practicing medicine in northern New Jersey since 2002. In 2004, Dr. Weiss founded Weiss Medical with the goal of being leading experts in allergy, asthma, and immunology while providing the best patient care and experiences.

      Dr. Weiss sees patients in our Riverdale and Paramus offices.


      Alexander Marotta, M.D.


      Dr. Alexander Marotta received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia where he achieved entrance to the AOA medical honor society. He then completed his internship and residency at the Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital. He completed his Allergy/Immunology fellowship at National Jewish Medical and Research Center, which is considered by many to be the top Asthma and Allergy training program in the country. He has been in taking care of patients in Bergen County since 2005.

      His focuses include asthma, food allergy, and allergic rhinitis, particularly in children, but he treats patients of all ages for all allergic conditions.

      When not in the office, Dr. Marotta enjoys spending time with his family and participating in outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, and fishing. On rare occasions, you may even find him performing on stage singing or acting.


      Barry D. Weinreb, M.D.


      Dr. Barry Weinreb completed his allergy and immunology fellowship at the world-renowned Johns Hopkins University Hospital in the Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. He attended medical school at Tel Aviv University/Sackler School of Medicine, graduating in 1982.

      Dr. Weinreb is double board certified in Allergy and Immunology and Pediatrics, and a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.

      Dr. Weinreb has provided compassionate, expert care in pediatric and adult allergy and asthma for over 35 years in Morris County.


      Katie Bogusz, M.D.


      Katie Bogusz, M.D., received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. Following medical school, she trained in internal medicine at the New York University School of Medicine. She remained at New York University for an additional year as a chief resident.

      Dr. Bogusz completed her fellowship training in pediatric and adult Allergy and Immunology at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School.

      She has interests in asthma, urticaria, allergic rhinitis, along with many other allergic conditions. Dr. Bogusz is board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI).


      Ma Lourdes de Asis, M.D.


      Dr. Ma. Lourdes de Asis is a board-certified Allergy Immunology specialist.

      She is the Section Chief of Allergy and Immunology at Montefiore Nyack Hospital, NY. After receiving her medical degree from the University of the Philippines and a masters in public health from Columbia University, Dr. de Asis finished an Internal Medicine residency at SUNY- Downstate in Brooklyn and her fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx.

      Dr. de Asis has published in journals and textbooks on the topics of asthma, sinusitis, immune deficiency, urticarial, and food allergy and has presented numerous papers at the annual meetings of the American Academy of Allergy and Immunology and the American College of Allergy and Immunology. She is a firm believer in the patient-centered care model which stresses effective communication, empathy, and partnership between doctor and patient

      Dr. de Asis has been selected multiple times as one of America’s Best Physicians by the Consumer’s Research Council of America and Bergen’s Top Doctors by 201 Magazine, most recently in 2020.


      Sharon Yee, M.D.


      Dr. Yee is a native of New Jersey.  She received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Boston University and a Master’s of Science in Biomedical Science from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ).  She later earned her medical doctorate from UMDNJ, and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Einstein-Montefiore Medical Center.  

      Dr. Yee completed a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at National Jewish Health/University of Colorado, which is the nation’s leading respiratory hospital.  She has been involved in multiple translational and clinical research projects, which have included studies in food allergy, drug allergy and asthma.

      Licensure and Board Certification

      She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Allergy and Immunology.  She is a member of the American Academy of Allergy and Immunology (AAAAI) and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI).

      Dr. Yee specializes in treating an array of allergic and immunological disorders, with interests in asthma, atopic dermatitis (eczema), and chronic urticaria (hives).  She enjoys taking care of both adult and pediatric patients.


      Robert M. Klein, M.D.


      Dr. Robert Klein received his undergraduate degree from New York University and his M.D. from New York Medical College. Following his residency in pediatrics at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, Dr. Klein served as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps. He completed his fellowship in Allergy-Immunology at the New York-Columbia Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in New York City, where he holds a faculty appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Klein is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has served as Past-President of the New Jersey Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society and is currently a subject matter content editor for Elsevier healthcare publishers. Dr. Klein treats adults and children, with a primary interest in chronic sinusitis, asthma, chronic hives, food allergy and allergic skin disorders.
